How the Treatment Works
Dr. Rolnik uses a device with tiny needles during this anti-aging facial to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to stimulate Collagen and Elastin production. The skin’s repair process results in a thicker dermis with the appearance of softer wrinkles and less obvious marks and scars. The needles create superficial micro-channels in the skin. These channels help the skin absorb topical gels, creams, and serums more effectively.

What are the Benefits of Microneedling Treatments?
The benefits of micro-needling are a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, younger-looking skin with fewer signs of aging. What does micro-needling feel like?
After topical anesthetics,the sensation feels like minimal pressure on the skin. The speed of the reciprocating needle tip reduces discomfort while the applied hydrating gel also makes the treatment more tolerable.
How long does the procedure take?
The facial takes about 60-90 minutes with numbing beforehand depending on the size of the area treated and the overall health of your skin.
What is the downtime?
Downtime is minimal as compared to its more invasive counterparts. You will experience redness surrounding the treatment areas immediately after. The redness will fade over the following several hours. Most redness will have subsided by 24 hours the procedure. Some patients may notice redness that continues a few days following treatment. Tinted moisturizer and foundation minimize the appearance of the lasting redness.
Most patients will heal completely in as little as 24 hours.
When will I see the results?
Patients notice an immediate “glow” to their skin. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several days and weeks. Results continue to improve up to 6 months after the treatment as collagen production continues.
How many treatments will I need?
Some patients require a single treatment, once per year to achieve optimal results. However, we recommend for most patients to receive a series of 2-3 treatments spaced about 6-8 weeks apart.
